Yes or No Tarot

Sometimes you do not need a ten-card spread. You need a straight answer. Our free Yes or No Tarot tool draws a single card and tells you whether it leans towards yes, no or maybe, along with the meaning behind it.

Focus on one clear question, take a breath, then draw. Your question never leaves this page.

For entertainment purposes only. Your answers stay in your browser and are never stored or sent anywhere.

How it works

  1. Focus on one clear question that can be answered with yes or no. Say it out loud or write it down.
  2. Take a breath and draw your card. The tool shuffles the full 78-card deck, including reversals.
  3. Read the answer and the reason. Every card comes with a short explanation so you understand why it said what it said.

How the cards answer yes or no

Traditionally, cards with bright, forward-moving energy lean yes: The Sun, The Star, The World, the Ace of Cups and the Ten of Pentacles are classic examples. Cards that warn of loss, conflict or stagnation lean no, such as The Tower, the Ten of Swords or the Five of Cups. Cards of reflection and timing, like The Hanged Man, The High Priestess or the Two of Swords, usually mean maybe or not yet.

A reversed card often softens or delays the answer. A reversed yes card might mean yes, but not in the way you expect, while a reversed no card can hint that an obstacle is already starting to clear.

Tips for asking better questions

  • Ask about things within your influence: “Should I apply for this job?” works better than “Will they ever call me?”
  • Ask one question per draw, and avoid re-drawing until you get the answer you want.
  • If the answer surprises you, sit with it. The card’s meaning may reveal what you really hoped for.

Frequently asked questions

How accurate is yes or no tarot?

A single card gives a quick snapshot, not a guarantee. Many people find it most useful as a gut check: notice whether you feel relieved or disappointed by the answer, because that reaction is information too.

Can I ask about love?

Absolutely, love is the most popular topic. For feelings and relationship dynamics, a fuller spread or a personalized reading often gives more nuance than a single card.

Is my question stored anywhere?

No. You can type your question if you like, but it never leaves your browser: nothing is sent or stored.
